Born in Limerick, Cecily completed her MFA in Multidisciplinary Design in the University of Ulster in 2013. She also holds a BA in Fine Art, Printmaking, LSAD, 2004 and a HDip in Creative Multimedia Programming, Limerick Institute of Technology, 2017.
Upon finishing her degree in 2004, Cecily was awarded The RDS Visual Arts Award for Printmaking. She also received the Limerick Printmakers twelve month bursary the same year. As well as featuring in various exhibitions in Ireland, Cecily has also exhibited in the UK, and taken part in residencies in Cill Rialaig Artists Retreat in Ballinskelligs, Co Kerry. Cecily is a practicing artist and current member of Limerick Printmakers.

Other Members

Cecily’s work explores traditional printmaking techniques and mark-making. She is particularly interested in texture and the methodological processes involved in printmaking. Much of her practice draws inspiration from nature, however, recently her work has begun to explore themes of physical isolation, employing landscape to capture moments of introspection and reflection.
