Limerick Printmakers – An epicentre for printmaking, community and creative experiences
Limerick Printmakers is a community of creative practitioners that influence, support and promote printmaking and tangible creative experiences.
We do this by providing high calibre facilities and maker spaces, and through exhibition, residency, educationand community engagement programmes.

Chair Fiona Quill
Fiona is a practicing printmaker and currently lecturing full time in the department of Fine Art, Printmaking Contemporary Practice in the Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD).
Fiona holds her MA in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of Limerick.
She is actively involved in contemporary printmaking practice on a national and an international level.
She had worked concurrently in LSAD in printmaking practice and MIC in visual art education from 2008 – 2012. Fiona’s areas of research include The Teacher as Performer (MIC)
and Time Restricted Printmaking (LSAD). Fiona is vice chair of the Research Ethics Committee
and sits on the board of Research and Development sub-committee to the Academic Council
in TÚS Limerick.
Fiona is a member of IVARO and the VAI and has work in the OPW, RTE
and University of Limerick collections.
Director Yvonne Davis
Yvonne Davis holds the role of Visual Arts Curator with the University of Limerick
and has worked within the third level institution’s visual art department for many years.
She has been a champion of both the visual arts and Limerick based artists throughout
this period. She has also sat on the board of directors for several organisations.
Director Áine Finnegan
Áine is a printmaker and digital designer. She graduated with a first-class BA Hons in Fine Art from LSAD, and a first-class MA in Design from TU Dublin. After graduating from LSAD,
she was awarded the Limerick Printmakers studio bursary for her exemplary printmaking skills. Since then, she has been an active member at LP and has exhibited nationally
and internationally. Her artwork and practice mostly consist of mono-prints and drawing,
with references to natural elements.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Áine is deeply committed to sharing her knowledge and skills
with others. As an enthusiastic advocate for learning, she serves as an active tutor
on LP’s adult printmaking courses.
Director Mary O’Dea
Mary O’Dea is an artist that works in the medium of print, mixed media and installation. Having worked as a Production Engineer for a number of years she returned to college
and received a BA in Fine Art from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally and her work features in both public
and private collections including the OPW, Limerick University Hospital
and in the University of Limerick’s National Self Portrait Collection of Ireland.
She recently taught on the Professional Master of Education in Art and Design
with Digital Media course in the Limerick School of Art & Design.
Her work focuses on the landscape, both architectural and natural.
Following a residency in Aviles, Spain, the artist is concentrating on creating installations
in the landscape using found objects and textiles, e.g. Influence I and II,
in the National Self Portrait Collection at University of Limerick.
Director Dr Carol Wrenn
Dr Carol Wrenn is the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager with TUS.
Her PhD in Anthropology from NUI Maynooth focused on women’s participation in decision making structures in northern Odisha, India and prior to working in Higher Education,
she worked in the international development sector specifically on programming and policy
related to women’s rights and gender equality.
Her role in TUS focuses on advancing equity and inclusion by developing strategies, policies, and initiatives that reflect the university’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
She collaborates with departments and functional areas to embed inclusive practices, supports staff networks and communities of practice, and ensures that policies address
the diverse needs of both staff and students. Additionally, she monitors progress against TUS’s equity, diversity, and inclusion action plans.
