Rowena is a full time artist and devotes her career to the process of printmaking. She specializes in silkscreen and mono-print and uses the rich oil based inks of mono-printing to give depth to her silkscreen work.

Rowena is a full time artist who graduated with an honours degree in Fine Art Printmaking from LSAD in 2013. Her work is based on botanicals, florals, birds and insects. Nature is a major inspiration for her work and the V&A collection has been an evident influence. She uses vibrant and rich colours to surprise her audience and help them reimagine her world through this prompt. She incorporates intricate patterns to contain the imagery and she has developed a unique language.

This is of a subtle extroversion in the plant based images, which unfurl and blossom with the joy of spring, and are combined with an introverted suggestion in the pattern, which capture and guard the exquisite beauty of nature. This is a development to a very personal narrative of the artist herself.
