Literary inspirations include the authors Tom Robbins and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, both of whom wrote extensively about the relationship between weighing risk, both real and perceived, against the potential of creating something magical. The driving force of need overtakes the craving for comfort. Integral to Fahy’s work is the conviction that failure is not something to fear and that there is much to be cherished in being the exception to the rule. This reflects a personal need to mould and create her own visual reality.
“You should never hesitate to trade your cow for a handful of magic beans.”
