LP at the Belltable: Work by Vincent Pikamu & Leslie July 13th - 22nd inclusive

LP are proud to announce the upcoming opening of 'I am an asylum seeker but that is not my identity, it's my experience', an exhibition of work by Vincent Pikamu and Leslie. The show will open from 4pm on Thursday 13th July & will continue Sat 22nd inclusive.
All are welcome to join us at the opening & to view the body of work during the Belltable's opening hours of 12pm - 5.30pm, Tues - Sat.

As part of LP’s 1916/2016 Centenary Commemoration programme, five studio members each worked with a group or organisation within Limerick’s communities in order to aid them in expressing their feelings on living in Ireland in a visual way. The resultant bodies of work were then exhibited prominently within their communities.

This exhibition is made up of work by Vincent Pikamu and Leslie who met facilitator Joanna Thompson through Doras Luimní, an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation working to support and promote the rights of all migrants living in Limerick and the wider Mid-West region. The work on show is informed by the artist’s individual experiences, interests and culture.

LP wishes to acknowledge the support of the 1916/2016 Centenary Commemoration committee, the Arts Council of Ireland & Limerick City & County Council.
